Read the archives, too; she highlights plot issues, and you might just spot something you need to fix, too.
I've been reading King's books (and watching screen adaptations) since I was in primary school (I'm scared of clowns; go figure), so naturally I picked up his ode to the craft, "On Writing."
If this book is new to you, let me stress that you need this as a writer. As with anything, use what makes sense, ignore the rest- but your discard pile will be tiny with this one.
